I am a vegetarian since year 2010. I am not a born vegetarian.
A lot of people asking, “What make you to be a vegetarian?”
a. I love this beautiful earth, I want to do my best to preserve it, to leave behind a pure air, pure water , pure soil free from chemical and pesticides as I am fully support on organic products and make this world a beautiful place to stay.
To be a vegetarian is the fastest way to reduce carbon dioxide, a vegetarian meal can save about 780 g of co2.
b. I love all beings, I can’t eat meat anymore as I can feel their pain, fear, suffering when they are being killed.
I am always imagine if I am one of them, how suffering it is.
c. I recited everyday that I want to do my best to relieve suffering for all being, as such being a vegetarian is equivalent to release animal’s life and saving animal’s life.
I always received below comments on vegetarian meal;
“Boring diet, eating grass only.”
“Lack of protein and others nutrition”
“No variety”
“Tasteless diet”
“why pay more for organic foods?”
” Is it genuine organic products?”
” No enjoyment in eating……..”
“I am so hungry, lack of energy with vegetarian meal….”
The objectives of the blog:
a. To share a variety of vegetarian food, it can be nice in seeing, taste yummy and also promote healthy way of living. This is not a cooking recipe blog.
b. To change our mind, challenge our diet and create a better world together.
Chief cook in this blog is my lovely mother. She has been cooking the non vegetarian meal for more than 45 years. She is able to make a change, so can you!
Give a TRY, say “YES” to vegetarian meal.
“Vegetarian food leaves a deep impression on our nature. If the whole world adopts vegetarianism, it can change the destiny of humankind.”
by Albert Einstein
“All beings tremble before violence. All fear death, all love life. See yourself in others. Then whom can you hurt? What harm can you do?”
by Buddha
Let’s do it together!
Leave behind a beautiful world for our next generation.
May you be blessed for your kindness!
Smile always!

Li Jiun

Hi I enjoyed reading your post; I have phased meat out over the last few years and feel much better for having done so. I get similar responses to you but negative responses make me stronger and more determined that I was right to stop eating meat.
I even got called a “hippy”!!
Excellence! Let’s share this great message with the surrounding! Cheers!
I’ve been vegetarian for decades. For those who have a comment about that, I say, ‘wait til you get reincarnated as an agri-business animal. Have fun!!!!! NOT!’

Yup, so true.. Bring more happiness to our animal friends… Cheers!
I am from India and a vegetarian, in my country being vegetarian is a way of life, nothing astonishing in it, veg food is available all over the place, it was only in my travels outside the country that I found it an issue and surprisingly people from countries that follow Buddhism are also non-vegetarians.
Sis, Excellence! Thanks for your sharing! Cheers!
So good for your health and for the planet, thank you Li Jiun 🙂
So wise! Cheers!
I’ve been a vegetarian for two years and I can’t imagine ever going back. 🙂
Excellence! Me too… Cheers!
I will be following – hoping that I can add organic to the vegetarian mix!
Excellence! Healthier diet for yourself and also great benefit to mother of earth. Cheers!
You bet – don’t even get me started on the environmental benefits!
I’ve been a vegetarian, for ethical reasons, for at least 20 years. It never ceases to amaze me that many people get outraged when dogs and cats are abused, but they eat meat — the same meat that’s produced by the corporate food-meat industry from cows, pigs, and chickens that suffer in horrific conditions of cramped cages and feed laden with hormones and antibiotics.
Thanks for your sharing! So true! Let’s share with more people… Cheers!
