The external noise will never disturb your peacefulness unless you are willing to open your door to welcome them.
One of my meditation practice, by listening to sound, aware that you are at present and experiencing thoughts arisen and ceased. Let thought come and go. It will never disturb your meditation, unless you are “travelling with your thoughts” and lost your awareness.
No matter how noisy is the environment, you can be remain in peacefulness as long as you are “aware”. Don’t blame external environment, be diligent in your practice.
