If you ever experience the above scenario, you might feel lack of energy, tired, stress, tension, down, depress, sad, you lost passion in what you are doing, your emotion might be easily triggered and you might surrounded by unwholesome thoughts….
You know the great difference in your body when you are rest and sleep well.
During one of the short retreat, our teacher mentioned to us “If your body is too tired, just allow it to rest, you can go to sleep, however, after you rest well and regained your energy, continue with your meditation.” I went to the meditation retreat with a tired body and our teacher was so kind, he allowed us to sleep and rest well. After our body had a good rest and relax, I had a great session of meditation.
It apply the same in our daily life, when you are too tired and exhausted, please take a good rest. Don’t make your body “overhauled”, too late to be regret.
After a hard-working week, I’ll go for a good session of body massage to allow my body to have deep relaxation. I can sleep pretty well at night after a good massage. How precious and important is a good night sleep!
