Some of us, our existence and identity are depend on the acknowledgement from others. For the Gen Zilla (age 10-21), they love to associate their popularity with the “likes”, the more “likes” they get , the more confident they are.
Think about it! Are you enjoy freedom in life if whatever you do also must get acknowledgement from others? You are actually being tied by the invisible string and sometimes, you can’t even breath properly. We are so worry and some might even fearful when our ideas are difference from others. We are so tension that we might not be accepted by surrounding. We are so concern about how is the perception of others to us. When people start to blame or criticize, we are panic, lost of our confidence and some might stuck in “depression”.
There is a very profound teaching from Buddha, ” People blame others for their silence. They blame those who talk much and those who talk in moderation. There is, therefore, no one in this world who is not blamed.”
“They never was, nor will be, nor there now, any one who is wholly blamed or wholly praised.”
Liberate yourself, take a scissor to cut off all your invisible string.
Live at ease, happy and peace! You can!
