Sometimes, when we advice people to do the right things like saving the environment by bringing their container for take away food, people love to answer, “Why should I do as many others still using the disposable container?”
Sometimes, we might also advise people to follow the road regulations, don’t speed, don’t overtake don’t jump queue, yet people might also give excuses as ” Why can’t I do as others do the same?”
When we advice people to take healthy food, they might comment, “Why should I take healthy food as a lot of people eating unhealthy food yet still can survive more than 70 years old?”
When we advice people to reduce smoking and drinking, they might also comment as”Why should I reduce my consumption? I am healthy and most of my friend still stay healthy even though under long-term consumption of cigarette and alcohol..”
When you ask people to give donation, they might say, “Why should I be generous and others be so stingy?”
A lot of times, we might know the truth yet we don’t want to make a change and we keep look outside to find excuses for not to change at all. We always look for others and find faults in others.
Think about it! Why are we keep compare others with ourselves?
What is the relation between others and you in term of make a change in life?
What is more important than make changes from yourself to be a better person instead of looking for excuses for not doing anything?
“One should not regard the faults of others, things done and left undone by others, but one’s own deeds of commission and omission.” by Buddha
Do the right thing! Take the right action! Don’t give excuses for not doing good deeds because of others!
