multitasking?

Little Black is fully aware when he is urinate…Are you aware or your mind is in past or future?

Little Black is fully aware when he is urinate…Are you aware on your thoughts in past,  future or NOW?

Are you a multitasking person?

Can you do 2 tasks at the same time?

Sometimes, we might think we are able to save time and accomplish our task fast with multitasking. However, in reality we might not even doing well at all as we are not mindful in our task.

We can only work well and focus at one task at a time. No matter how much task you want to accomplish, no matter how urgent is your task, always remember you can only do well at ONE thing at a time. When you are stressful or tension, you can’t even finish any of your task and your mind is full of negative thoughts.

There is a profound teaching from Alan Watts, he mentioned that he only washing a dish at a time…

…”The art of washing dishes is that you only have to wash one at a time. If you’re doing it day after day, you have in your mind’s eye an enormous stack of filthy dishes that you have washed up in years past and an enormous stack of filthy dishes which you will wash up in years future. But if you bring in your mind to the state of reality which just is – as I have pointed out to you – only Now. This is where we are. There is only Now. You only have to wash one dish! It’s the only dish you ever have to wash! This one!”

You can only work well at one task…Be at here and now!

  1. Well said, the multitasking myth is a painful delusion that a large part of the human population has come to believe in. Science supports the truth that performance deteriorates rapidly if the brain is overburdened with more than one activity.
