One of our main objective to visit Tibet is to attend the official Opening of new Damkar monastery. It was blessed to be there, with more than 3,500 monks and nuns, disciples from local and also overseas.
We’ve a chance in life time to witness the official opening and also the performance from Tibetan people by using their body, speech and mind for devotion.
Actually, this was the longest performance we had ever attended. It was from 9:30 am until 6:30 pm with 1 hour lunch break in between. It was marvelous, fantastic and we respect performers for their strong spirit and dedication. Of course, bravo to all local people too. No matter rain or shine, it’ll never defeat them, they were sit still to watch the whole performance. It was a beautiful thing that we can learn from them.
Live life in simple!
After lunch break, when we looked up to the sky, it was so dark and going to rain soon. However, when we looked at the performers and the audience, none of the people runaway from their seats. Wow! A beautiful lesson to learn.
It was mild showering and the rain stopped after a while. We heard from others that, it was heavy downpour in other places near the area. We believe this is the blessing and also common wishes from all of us.
Our gratitude to all beautiful performers for their excellence dancing and singing, to praise and shown their devotion. Even though, we can’t understand the meaning of song, we are touched by their passion, determination, faith, mindfulness, purity, simplicity in performing.
We are blessed to be there…
