Some of us, we love to grumble, complain about our life even though we’ve shelter, food, clothes, transport and live in a good environment…
We are never satisfied with what we have, what we own, we love to pursuit and own more and more in our life for something we might not even need it but we want it, we might not even understand what is suffering? What is contentment? What is blessing in life?
I went for a life sharing from one of my teacher, Fa Shi shared with us on how was his childhood in Vietnam war-time, how many life being sacrificed in the war? How much agony bring to the family? How much suffering bring to mankind?
He also shared with us how he was ran away from Vietnam at the age of 13 years old, his boat journey to Malaysia to seek help for refugee, he stayed in the boat for 4 days 3 nights, a total of 113 people on the top of a small fisherman boat, It was so crowded,he was only able to squat down, no space to move his body at all, he pee and also shit in his pant, he was only given a small cap of water per day to sustain his life.
Moreover, one of the lady can’t endured the immersed suffering, she committed suicide by jumping to the sea. Life can be in such miserable and fragile.
Fa Shi facing the severe back skin lesions as long time expose to sea water and under such a tragic condition. He can’t even stood up and walked when reach to the destination… How much suffering he was endured, I respect his spirit for survival.. Amazing!
He also shown us some of the photos during war-time, Vietnam boat people , when I look at it…..
I knew where is the Hell! I knew what is suffering! I knew what is blessing in life! I knew how blessing we are when we live in peace and calm environment… I knew how much human being can bring suffering to others due to ignorant… I knew we shouldn’t complain or grumble in life when we’ve abundance….
Let’s make a vow that we are going to cultivate wholesome thoughts in our mind, eradicated any of the unwholesome thoughts in any moment of our life, Let us bring happiness and benefits to all beings.
Imagine, if everybody has the wholesome thoughts, which is not going to harm or bring suffering to others, we can build a pure land, here and now.
Why not do something benefit to yourself and others!
May this world filled with laughter and happiness!
