Some of us, we might assume that animals do not think like us… animals don’t have emotional turmoil….animals might not have feeling like us… and they are not as intelligent as human…
Lately, my friend shared a touching story, her sister kept 2 lovely rabbits as pets. Both rabbits are sisters.
Since young, they live together, they play with each other, they talk to each other and they love each other very much.
However, one day, My friend’s sister took the elder rabbit out from the cage, dress her up and happily snap photo.
She left the younger rabbit in the cage.
So the younger rabbit felt so isolated, unfair, favouritism, she was totally unhappy, demoralized and also felt jealousy towards her elder sister.
As a result, she didn’t talk, play and eat together with her elder rabbit sister about 2 weeks.
After the incident, they were separated themselves and in a “cold war”. Luckily, the elder rabbit sister, continuously comfort and gave love to her younger sister.
This incident is so similar to whatever happen surrounding us….
Love has no enemy… The elderly sister constantly give hugs to the younger sister… How warm!
How happy to see, they are happily live together!
How cute are they….May you treat all animals equally and well!
We can communicate well with our animal friends, we don’t need to use the same languages, we understand each others well! They are our loyal friends….
Contemplate about it…
Do you think animal friends are willing to give their life to you as food?
Do you think you actually need to consume their body to sustain your life?
Do you need their dead body to satisfy your sensual pleasures?
Do you think your body is lack of nutrition without animals body?
Why do you need to allow your stomach as tomb for animal friends?

“It ill becomes us to invoke in our daily prayers the blessings of God, the Compassionate, if we in turn will not practice elementary compassion towards our fellow creatures.”

” I do not see any reason why animals should be slaughtered to serve as human diet when there are so many substitutes. After all, man can live without meat. It is only some carnivorous animals that have to subsist on flesh. Killing animals for sport, for pleasure, for adventures, and for hides and furs is a phenomenon which is at once disgusting and distressing. There is no justification in indulging in such acts of brutality . . . Life is as dear to a mute creature as it is to a man. Just as one wants happiness and fears pain, just as one wants to live and not to die, so do other creatures.”
