touch your heart…

I heard a sad news from my friend that her lovely dog passed away , heart-attack during operation.

Their family members never expect for the sudden death as the dog was healthy. He has ear infection with maggot, it supposed to be a minor operation. They never expect to lost him forever.

My friend was crying when sharing with us and she mentioned that her whole family also crying and felt sad. My friend even not able to sleep for the night. She was a bit regret that she seldom take any photos of the lovely dog. I felt the great love that their family members given to the dog, it’s no longer an animal, the dog was one of their family member. It was so touching! How beautiful, if we can treat all beings like our family members, a world free of killing and full of love!

One of the important lesson which awaken us, life is impermanence! Death can happen any moment without any notice! Treasure every moment and not to be regret.

When you begin to touch your heart or let your heart be touched, you begin to discover that it’s bottomless, that it doesn’t have any resolution, that this heart is huge, vast, and limitless. You begin to discover how much warmth and gentleness is there, as well as how much space.

  1. I’m sorry for your friend’s loss. Our pets become part of our family. They come into our lives for such a short time and they take a piece of our heart with them when they go. We’ll always be connected.
