Today is the Chinese New Year Eve, an important day for Chinese to have reunion dinner, a day which family members will get together for celebration.
My mum always mentioned that “It’s blessed that you are alive, then only you can have reunion dinner with your family. You should be grateful!”
We are truly blessed!
Have you ever think about it for those people who stay in old folk home, orphanage home, disable home, they don’t have chance for reunion dinner?
How wonderful if we can spend some time with them, to pay a visit, bring food, grocery items, cash and most important your loving kindness to warm them in this festival?
This morning, we went to visit old folk home together with a group of kind-hearted people.
How nice that we’ve a chance to bring warm, happiness and joy to the elderly people who are just like our parent or grand parent.
At least, they feel they are not being abandon by society.
You might think that you are helping them… However, you are helping yourself too, to let go your greed, your desire, your ego….
You are benefited the most, you are gradually become more generous, more loving, more contentment, more gratitude, more humble, more helpful, more compassion…..
You are blessed! You are joy! You are happiness!
“If you knew what I know about the power of giving, you would not let a single meal pass without sharing it in some way.”
Human beings are not intrinsically selfish, which isolates us from others. We are essentially social animals who depend on others to meet our needs. We achieve happiness, prosperity and progress through social interaction. Therefore, having a kind and helpful attitude contributes to our own and others’ happiness.

May you have a blessed year ahead!
May you continue to give your helping hand to others, to bring joy and happiness to surrounding!
Happy Chinese New Year!
