practice compassion…

If you see a  dead body of stray cat or dog, what is your reaction?

Are you just ignore it?

Are you pretend you are not seeing anything?

Are you saying, “oh poor little creatures!”

Do you ever consider to take care of the corpse?

Are you saying,”why should I be bothered, somebody will handle the corpse…”

This morning, Sis & I went for our breathing exercise class. However, something unusual happened, we saw a dead kitten at the entrance of  staircase.

We also met up with the mother cat and also other kittens.

In such a situation, we must handle the corpse as to respect the little dead creatures and also for the hygienic  & health issues for human and also the cat’s family. We believed the kitten might just passed away as we didn’t see any worm yet.

When we handle the dead kitten, the mother cat ran to us with strong and sad “MEOW”… We do our best to explain to her that the kitten was dead. This is the best we can do…

She was continued to “meow” and also not leaving the place…

It was a touching moment in life, the mother cat love her children so dearly, She felt so sad about the death of her children,  it deepen my understanding on ” All beings have Buddha nature.”

Moreover, imagine when you are eating happily on “meat”, imagine how sad is their mother, they’ve feeling just like you & me…

After settled the corpse, we can see how hungry was the mother cat, the only thing we can offer our help was to buy tuna fish for her as no pet shop open in such early hour.

Treat all beings equally, a sincere heart to practice compassion, small treat to the mother cat, can relieve her suffering...

Treat all beings equally, a sincere heart to practice compassion, small treat to the mother cat, can relieve her suffering…  A small gesture from us, can make a big difference in other’s life.

After the meal, she brought her another kitten up to the floor...

After the meal, she brought her another kitten up to the floor… She can offer milk to her kittens.

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.

  1. It has been hard for me to accept that I can’t save them all. The mama you pictured looks like the little black & white residing in our garage. I’ve scheduled her spay since she doesn’t belong to anyone. I just hope she shows up! I have two dogs and five cats and can’t afford to bring in anymore. We (people) have stewardship over the animals and will be held responsible for them.
