Are you practice mindfulness when you are eating?
Do you ever think about where is the food come from?
or you just focus the “Taste” of the food whether it can pacify your senses?
If you are the meat-eater, do you know where is the meat come from?
Every meat we eat, animals must die in order to sustain our meat-eating habit.
Animals need to go through the agony of killing process, the pain, the fear, the separation, the stress, the worry, the suffering…
Have you ever reflect this in your life?
Some of us, we might know the fact, however due to our strong DESIRE, we just can’t let go, we just WANT to satisfy our desire, we continue to provide a lot of excuses to convince our mind to continue our eating habit.
The simplest question to ask yourself:
” Do you see life in other beings?”
Contemplate about the beautiful quote by Thich Nhat Hanh
“Aware of the suffering caused by the destruction of life, I am committed to cultivating compassion and learning ways to protect the lives of people, animals, plants, and minerals.
I am determined not to kill, not to let others kill, and not to support any act of killing in the world, in my thinking, and in my way of life.”
Just let go your desire of meat-eating, how much happiness and joy, you can bring to animals kingdom.
May you be blessed for your kindness!
