During the Temenggor Walk tour, I managed to visit the “Orang Asli” Village. It was my first experience.
Orang Asli ( “original people”, “natural people” in Malay) is a generic Malaysian term used officially for the indigenous people of Peninsula Malaysia.
This visit deepen my understanding that we can live life in such a simple way.
When I look around, they live harmony with nature, their external belonging is so limited.
However, it doesn’t mean that their quality of life is bad.
They are enjoying a lot of “invisible wealth” which we never put any “price tag” on it.
They are inhaling fresh air, they live closely with nature, a nice natural environment, not pursuit for material wealth…..
They are so contended with their life. Their need is so less…
Great questions for contemplation…
“What is the purpose of your life?”
“Why are you so busy in life?”
“What are you looking for ?”
“What do you want in life?”
“What is your need?”
“Are you actually living at now?”
“Are you contended with your life?”
“Are you happy with what you have?”
“Are you gratitude with what you have?”
“ Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.”
