You are so awake and you are at Now.
Nothing is more beautiful than the total bliss in mind.
According to Buddha’s teaching, there are 5 hindrances for us to achieve crystal clear mind, the enlightenment.
It’s so easy to understand as “water” condition is used for explanation.
1. Sensory desire
Imagine a glass of colorful water, can you see the “clear water”?
You can’t, right?
It apply the same to the sensory desire, when we can’t let go and cling on to it.
Our mind will never be in peace and calm.
2. Ill Will
Imagine a glass of boiling water, can you see the water clearly?
You can’t as it covered by the bubbles.
When you are holding anger to others and yourself. Can you be at peace?
3. Sloth & torpor
Imagine a glass of still water full of algae, can you see the water clearly?
The mind is dull, you can’t be at peace too.
4. Restlessness and remorse
Imagine a glass of shaking water, can you see the water clearly?
Restlessness occurred due to you can’t find joy right here, now.
Remorse is the result of bad conduct, you are regret for what you have done or said.
How to achieve peace of mind?
5. Skeptical/ Doubt
Imagine if you put a glass water in the dark room, can you see the water clearly?
You can’t too.
When you are in doubt, can you achieve peace of mind?
Once you experience the mind condition in peace and calm, nothing is more important than to achieve this state of mind.
The serenity, tranquility, calm, peace, stillness of mind….
What a peaceful moment!
